STAPLE-IZER (Demo)

Please refer to the controls below on how to play, which can also be viewed in game by pressing the ESC button.

CONTROLS:

WASD - Move

Left Click - Fire weapon (can hold down to auto-fire)

Space Bar - Jump

Choose Level-Up Upgrade - R (if you have any available reward points in the bottom left corner)

E - Interact (Open safes) 

Escape - Pause/Unpause Game

The goal for the demo is to progress through the rooms, upgrade your stats and reach the boss room to defeat the first floor boss!

This is my final major project for university and is a demo of the larger game I want to make! I am aware of some bugs and QOL updates that are needed but unfortunately didn't have time for this for the demo. Please let me know how you find the game and if you have any feedback :)

“STAPLE-IZER” is an exciting first-person rogue-lite game where you are trapped in your everyday office building. You play as an overworked and overstressed employee who has surpassed their limits and starts experiencing extreme hallucinations, believing that the office equipment and stationery have come to life and are trying to kill you. 

As the only human left, you must battle these enemies through procedurally generated floors, collect and upgrade weapons, and make your way down to the ground floor to escape this corporate hellhole!

The procedural generating is done with the help of this incredible plugin for Unreal, that I then used to script the rules for the dungeon generation:
